I made this album while I was studying in Denmark in 2012. As I had no musical instruments there, I used some fresh mobile recordings. The first track is a speech in the Social Science Faculty in Riga with one of my favorite orators - Ivars Ījabs participating. The second, which also has a video, is a gloomy conversation between me and my mother at the cafeteria of a hospital. The forth one was recorded when I was on an inquiry in the Eastern part of Latvia - Latgale, and a girl with a golden heart is talking to me about the social conditions there. There are a few tracks I made deliberately in Copenhagen - 13th is "A Conversation in the Cemetery of Valby in the 18th of November" which is a recorded conversation between me and two Latvian women I met at the Latvian gathering on the independence day of Latvia and they told me about the lives of Latvians that came to Denmark during the WW2, about the way families lived and died there. One Latvian guy hanged himself during the Christmas eve and at one point I felt the same need, as I was almost alone in Copenhagen during the Christmas time. 11th track is me trying to sing "Silent Night Holy Night" in the Danish courses. 10th is a track I recorded together with Alise in the bathroom of the house I lived in, that was owned by a Malaysian guy. The 6th track is me learning Danish and recording it to be able to listen to it later. 7th is me playing my cheap, small toy ukulele.

All the mobile recordings have been filtered and processed with VLC media player, making some noises and echoes. I did that in real time so basically those are low-fi recordings of low-fi recordings with a non-smart mobile phone.
